ALASKA BROWN BEAR HUNTS
ALASKA PENINSULA BY BOAT - PRIVATE LAND

This hunt on the pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula is truly unique. Litzen Guide Service has exclusive rights to 75 miles of prime Brown bear coastline. A 65-foot boat is used as a floating hunting lodge to access the private hunting area. From the boat, beaches and hills are glassed, while slowly cruising down the shorelines. Upon spotting a bear, the hunter and guide take to the shore by skiff to make the stalk. We also have known glassing locations where we often spend the day hunting. Brown Bear Hunt With Litzen Guide Service - Huntin' Fool TV Show

The regularly scheduled May 2020 Brown Bear Season was canceled by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game due to Covid Concerns. Stand by for results from our special season in May 2021. Now booking for the regular October 2021 season and May of 2022.

Fall 2019 produced 5 brown bear for 7 hunters. Weather conditions were harsh.

Spring 2018 was excellent on average bear size and we were 7 for 11 with 100% opportunity on harvest success. Our bears averaged over 9'. Our largest bear was 10'4" with skull size 28.5". Litzen Guide Service has a high success rate of 95% over the last 20 years on really good bears. Ten-foot bears are not uncommon. While on board, clients may fish for halibut and cod, and in the Fall help pull crab pots for fresh Dungeness crab. If you are through with tents in harsh weather environments, treat yourself to the comfort and effectiveness of hunting by boat. Land camps, tents and cabin also available.

Included in Hunt Rates: 1X1 guide service, meals, main and spike camp accommodations, trophy care (In field) and transportation during hunt.

Not Included in Hunt Rates:

Gratuity: 8 - 10%. If you are pleased with you personal guides services, show your appreciation!

Transportation: Due to the changing nature of air carriers because of Covid, talk with Michael about current transportation details. Outfitter will meet you in Sand Point, Alaska.

License & Tags - Unlimited tags are available online or can be purchased upon arrival in Anchorage.
